"Mikrokreditbank" JSCB and "Quva-Agro Star" LLC held the "Cherry Festival" festival in the Quva district of Fergana region on May 28, 2025. It was attended by the management of "Mikrokreditbank" JSCB, officials of the regional and district khokimiyats, gardeners, entrepreneurs, tourists, representatives of the media and the population.

The event discussed the prospects for creating fruit orchards, the possibilities of exporting fruits grown in our country abroad, the results achieved, and the current tasks.
As part of this festival, a seminar was organized on measures aimed at developing the agro-industrial sector, increasing export potential, and ensuring employment.

Also, within the framework of the “Cherry Festival”, representatives of the “Mikrokreditbank” JSCB presented the work carried out in recent months to develop agriculture in the Kuva district and provided detailed information about it.
It should be noted that at the meeting held on January 30 of this year, the President assigned specific territories to commercial banks and instructed them to support the agricultural sector through them.
The Kuva district was assigned to the Microkreditbank. Accordingly, the “Quva-Agro Star” LLC was established in the Kuva district, and the “Fergana-Agro Star” project office was established in the Fergana district.

Through these structures:
• training seminars in the agricultural sector were organized (including 10 seminars with the participation of Turkish specialists and local agronomists);
• an international expert was attracted from Belarus;
• household plots and leased land were registered;
• 8 projects with a total value of 11.2 billion soums (8 billion soums in loans) were formed and financed under the “Gardening” loan product;
• Construction of refrigerators, packaging and canning infrastructure began in Kuva and other districts.
During the past period of this year, the bank provided preferential loans worth more than 50 billion soums to about 4,000 residents and agricultural entities, helping them establish fruit orchards.
These works are also showing their effectiveness in increasing the export potential of the region. For example, as of May 27, 2025, exported 13 thousand tons of cherries worth $23.5 million, 8 thousand tons of apricots worth $6.5 million, and 6.2 thousand tons of dried apricots (sour) worth $9.2 million.
Also, in February-May of this year, 11 thousand fruit tree seedlings were delivered and planted in 236 households in the Kuva, Uzbek and Beshariq districts and the city of Kuvasoy.
In conclusion, the reforms being implemented in the Kuva district play an important role in modernizing agriculture, increasing export potential, and ensuring the well-being of the population.
