It is known that corruption seriously undermines the primacy of the principles of democracy and justice in society, leads to the violation of human rights, the trampling of dignity, and hinders the development of the state and society, worsening the living standards of citizens.
Today, the problem of corruption can be encountered in almost every country in the world. Corruption has become one of the topics that has been widely discussed internationally as a transnational crime in recent years.
Therefore, the harm caused by corruption is considered equal for all countries, and this vice negatively affects various spheres of the state, in particular, the reforms being carried out in the political, economic, social, and cultural spheres, as well as the country's image in the international arena and its investment attractiveness.
On March 5 of this year, the next expanded meeting of the National Anti-Corruption Council was held under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. At it, the Head of State discussed the system of combating corruption in state organizations at all levels and set the tasks for the future.
After this meeting, in order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set in JSCB "Mikrokreditbank", measures were determined to combat corruption-related offenses and to form an uncompromising attitude towards corruption in the banking community.
For example, as part of the development of the skills of employees in the anti-corruption system, training seminars on "Managing Conflicts of Interest" and "Corruption - a hindrance to development" were held in all regional territorial departments in cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
All service centers of the bank and "Neighborhood Bankers" attached to the mahallas actively participate in these seminars, receiving comprehensive information and practical recommendations on preventing corruption based on the principles of honesty, transparency, public oversight, and responsibility.
Also, to develop knowledge and skills among employees on preventing conflicts of interest, a training course on "Who is a Corruptor?" and "Conflict of Interest" was posted on the bank's online MKB TRAINING ACADEMY training platform.
It should be noted that in recent years, a number of laws have been adopted in our country to combat this scourge, and a new system has been created. Most importantly, an open system and an open environment have emerged in society that brings the problem of corruption to public discussion. Because preventing corruption begins with selecting professional and dedicated personnel for public service and vaccinating them with the "vaccine of honesty."
In his speech, the Head of our state emphasized that combating corruption is a national task, a matter of conscience for every patriotic compatriot.
– If we all act as a single force, we will certainly achieve great positive results. Therefore, mahalla activists, enlighteners, intellectuals, writers and poets, art and culture workers, entrepreneurs, celebrities, leaders, deputies and senators - the entire public in general, must unite and view corruption as a “cancer in the body of society,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
To this end, it is important to strengthen education and propaganda in the prevention of corruption, educate our youth in the spirit of honesty and justice, and increase the role and importance of the media and the public in the fight against corruption.
After all, as the head of our state noted, “The biggest obstacle and stumbling block on the path to reforms is corruption.”
If we all unite in the fight against corruption, a corruption-free society will emerge in the new Uzbekistan. On this path, MKBANK will always actively participate in ensuring openness and honesty, strengthening public trust and state policy.
