On February 24 of this year, a press conference was held at the National Press Center of Uzbekistan on the topic "The effectiveness of the work carried out by the Joint-Stock Commercial Bank "Mikrokreditbank" in 2024 and the priority tasks set for 2025". It was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board Sh. Ibragimova, heads of relevant departments, media representatives, and bloggers.

The bank allocated more than 7 trillion soums in loans in 2024. Of this, 1.9 trillion soums were invested in investment projects, 2.4 trillion soums in loans were financed from the family entrepreneurship development program, 2 trillion soums were allocated to support small businesses, and 1.5 trillion soums in microfinance services were provided.
As a result, a total of 232.7 thousand people were employed in 1,230 neighborhoods affiliated with the bank, based on their development drivers, 113.7 thousand of whom were placed in permanent jobs.

In particular, based on the "Saykhunabad" experience, "financial packages" worth 136.5 billion soums were placed in 7,273 households through household-by-housework.
At the same time, 42,048 microprojects were implemented and 73,100 jobs were created thanks to bank loans totaling 1.2 trillion soums.
Based on the "Uychi" experience, 31.4 thousand jobs were created as a result of resolving 8.3 thousand appeals raised in 996 meetings.

In 2024, the Bank attracted $124 million in resources from international financial institutions, attracted 1.1 trillion soums in deposits and 609 billion soums in savings from the population and entrepreneurs.
Also, in terms of financial support for women's entrepreneurship, in 2024, the bank allocated 1 trillion 604 billion soums in preferential loans to finance the businesses of 89,592 women, and provided employment for 92,200 women.

As part of the Family Entrepreneurship Development Program, a total of 2 trillion 397 billion soums in loans were allocated to attract the population to entrepreneurship and ensure employment.

At the same time, based on Resolution No. PQ-122, 19,370 women were allocated loans worth 253.2 billion soums in 2024.

The Bank is organizing its tasks for 2025 within the framework of the priority tasks and instructions set by our President for commercial banks at a videoconference meeting on December 16, 2024.
In particular, a separate department for neighborhood work was established in the Main Bank, divisions in regional departments, and neighborhood sectors in BXOs and MXMs. Based on the new system, 332 positions of "neighborhood bankers" were opened for 1,121 neighborhoods attached to the bank, staffed with qualified and enterprising employees.
This year, mahalla sectors, mahalla bankers, and auxiliary agents are set to allocate 5.4 trillion soums to small and medium-sized businesses and 2.9 trillion soums in loans under programs.

By utilizing all opportunities, the bank will provide employment for 320,000 people by 2025, of which 131,000 will be placed in permanent gainful employment, and 189,000 will be involved in entrepreneurship.
For this purpose, loans worth 7.7 trillion soums will be allocated from all sources.
The main part of the loan funds, that is, at least 50 percent, will be directed to small businesses. To achieve this goal, it is planned to attract $260 million from international financial institutions this year. $50 million of these funds will be directed to financing microprojects within the framework of the "financial inclusion" program.

It is planned to implement 160 pilot projects on the basis of the principle of "One contour - one product" on 1,756 hectares of land leased to the population. For this purpose, 160 aggregators have been selected.
As a starting crop, 5,400 residents became members of cooperatives. Aggregators' demand for loans of 3.8 billion soums was determined for the cultivation of melons and vegetables.
Within the framework of the "Super Project", 7 model projects were formed on an area of 105 hectares to create a chain of "cultivation - processing - sale". For example, 15 hectares of land were leased to young people in the "Tazgara" OFY in the Chimboy district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. It is planned to plant tomatoes in the first crop, and greens in the second crop.

In January-February, as a result of meetings with bank clients based on the "Uychi" experience, 482 meetings were held with 5,857 entrepreneurs, during which 2,118 applications were positively resolved, resulting in the creation of 2,188 new jobs.

The Microcredit Bank team will continue its activities in our country to develop small businesses, private and individual entrepreneurship, create new jobs by supporting crafts and home-based businesses, and expand microfinance services, especially in rural areas.
