"Parkent district is distinguished by its unique nature, clean air and fertile lands. Therefore, the agricultural sector is also developed here: the soil and climatic conditions are favorable, the population has a high farming culture. The population is hardworking, and the climate of the region is so fertile that "if you plant a stick, it will sprout," joke the native farmers of Parkent.
We often visit the Parkent district, located 50 kilometers from the city of Sershovkin. The reason is that there are many projects implemented by Mikrokreditbank JSCB in this area. By providing financial support to the population in the areas of guest houses, services, tourism, production, homesteading, animal husbandry and agriculture, their well-being is being ensured. New jobs, new types of services are being created. A new approach and new opportunities are being brought to the population.
One such project is being implemented in the Shampan neighborhood based on the principle of “One Contour – One Product.”
As part of this project, 14 young people living in the 59th contour of the Shampan neighborhood are being leased 1 hectare each, growing high-yielding varieties of tomatoes on a total of 14 hectares of land.
The harvest is currently underway and the products are being sorted. The best ones are being put on the market, while the small and damaged ones are being stored for the winter season.
According to estimates, about 500 tons of tomatoes will be harvested from this area, bringing in about 2.4 billion soums in income. After deducting all costs, each young person is expected to earn 115 million soums from 1 hectare of land.
The harvest will continue until September.
This project, based on the principle of "one contour - one product", is of great importance in improving the material condition of farmers, creating new jobs in rural areas, introducing modern agrotechnologies, and producing products that meet market demand, - says one of the young farmers who is currently engaged in farming.
It should be noted that this project, which has been tested in agriculture and has always justified itself, serves as a source of effective land use and high-quality production for young farmers. Because through this principle, the mechanisms for obtaining income from the crop have been clearly developed, and the interests of farmers are guaranteed.
