The Law "About the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted in July 2, 1992 in the tenth session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In the center of the Emblem there is drawn a bird Khumo with open wings – the symbol of happiness and freedom. Our great ancestor Alisher Navoi called Khumo as the kindest creature among all of living things.
In the top of the Emblem there is octahedron, symbolizing mark of confirmation of the republic, and inside of it there are the crescent and the star.
The picture of the sun - a wish that the way of our country should be illuminated by bright light. At the same time it points out the unique natural-climatic conditions of the country
Ears - a symbol of a daily bread, stems with opening cotton bolls - the main wealth of our sunny country, made it famous in the world. Ears and cotton bolls interweaved with the ribbon of the State Flag mean consolidation of the nations, living in the country.
